This is not the way to greet someone you respect for some reason or other.
It gives them the impression that:
1) You think they think they’re too good to read your message
2) You don’t care if your message is read, because you sent it despite convincing yourself it won’t be
3) You find them inaccessible, detached, and unreal
4) You will be awkward to talk to for the above reasonshey colin you probably won’t read this but i totally agree.
I second that humorous concurrence.
